Glue and more

I decided to use an epoxy to attach the fretboard. The majority of the gluing surfaces are the PCB, so I was concerned that a standard wood glue just wouldn't hold up. I had to be very careful, taping both the uke and the fretboard, but the attachement seems to have worked. I spent a lot of time looking for an acceptable epoxy. I ended up using Loctite extra time epoxy. It has 60 minutes of work life, and I ended up needing all of it. I kept the glue reasonably thin. I clamped it with the "popsicle stick and rubber bands method" with two wood clamps thrown in on the section over the sound board for good measure. I spend the following morning sanding to blend it in. There are some minor gaps, but I'm pressing forward to get the prototype complete.

I've applied a sealer to seal off some of the pores. Seems like there's a lot. I also can now see every bit of sanding errors that I made. Need to learn more about that for 2.0. I'm planning on using a water based polyurethane for the finish. At least three coats, but likely more.
